There was no worldwide flood, therefore no suffering. Science has proved that the flood is a fable by examining core samples from various parts of the world.
Obviously, the only thing suffering is the truth.

THE global Deluge was not a natural disaster. It was a judgment from God. Warning was given, but it was largely ignored. Why? Jesus explained: "In those days before the flood, [people were] eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away."—Matthew 24:38, 39
We, today also have that warning of a coming destruction and how to stay safe, what must we do?Well, God's warning is being told from house to house, he is making sure that everyone world wide hears it, but,
not many are listening to God's voice! So what will you do?Will you listen to God's voice or will you be like those in the days of Noah?

Yes, ANYONE other than the eight people inside the ark (Noah, his wife, his 3 sons and the three wives of Noah's sons) SUFFERED destruction by God when he utilized the worldwide flood to destroy the wicked by means of drowning them (those NOT conforming to what God as the Creator set forth as to what is right and wrong conduct)
According to the Bible, God takes absolutely NO DELIGHT in having to destroy the wicked (it breaks his heart actually), he would much rather they simply listen to Him, see the reasonableness in doing so and change their ways from what he says is bad to what he says is good. (Ezekiel 18:23; 18:32; 33:11) If they do not choose to change after have been given warning from God by means of his servants, as the Most High Judge, for his name's sake and for the protection and well being of all those striving to adhere to his righteous standards he has to destroy wicked people.
It is the same if you create something to be used for a specific purpose and the thing you created simply does not work properly. If you care about your creation you may try very hard to fix the problem, but, if after you have done all within reason to fix it and it still doesn't work, it gets destroyed.
The Bible states at 2 Peter 2:5 that Noah was "a PREACHER of righteousness".
He (and more than likely the other 7 members of his family that survived) tried to preach/warn the people about their wicked ways and what God was going to do but for whatever reasons the MAJORITY of the people chose for one reason or another to not get into the ark.
Its not these people were just EVIL people, the main problem was that they were NOT living their lives in such a way that was in harmony with the Creator and their fellowman. Some of these people who drowned were actually related in some way or another to Noah and his family, even babies died (being that until they reach spiritual maturity to make their own decisions between right and wrong their PARENTS are accountable for them in the eyes of God).
God NEVER destroys the wicked without first giving a warning and therefor although these people did momentarily suffer in their drowning it was just and deserved in the eyes of God. Afterall, they lived in His universe, breathed His air, ate from what He made possible and actually were in existence on account of Him, I think that what He required of them was more than reasonable.
Lets not forget that the present "world" of today (the wicked people, meaning those that choose to NOT obey the requirements of God) is AGAIN soon to be judged by the Almighty and in fact has already been judged and is destined to be destroyed. Everyone in Noahs day thought it was all a joke and or not worth takining seriously until of course it was too late... so it will be again.
2 Peter 3:3-16
1 Thessalonians 1:6-9
Matthew 24:36-39
2 Timothy 3:1-5
As for those that do not believe in the Biblical account of the flood and or say that there is "evidence" to disprove it, I say to you that there is an over ABUNDANT amount of evidence that PROVES that it did indeed happen (from scientists, history and even Jesus Christ himself believed and stated that the account was real and did happen as factual). The account of Noah is in the Bible to serve as a warning to we who are living NOW in the period of time the Bible calls THE LAST DAYS. It simply means that these are "the last days" of this wicked system of things, of wicked people/wicked spiritual forces and anyone and anything that is out of harmony with the Creator and His purposes.
Those that are unfortunate to survive the coming destructive judgement of God will never know the amazing wonders he has in store for the Earth and those that take heed to the warning, put their lives in harmony with the will of Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) and survive by means of Divine protection.... how unfortunate indeed.
Take the warning in whatever way you feel.. I'm only but a messenger, the actual message is of God. Hope this helps. :)

Yes, anyone who was not on that boat suffered, at the very least, for the standard 18 seconds it takes to lose consciousness when drowning.

Oh no, drowning is fun.
Just ask the Egyptians, they had loads of laughs in the Red Sea!
Personally, I think oxygen is way over-rated.
