what is the best way to let a guy down easy? i know that they dont like to hear the whole "i value our friendship" thing, so what do i say?

Tell him why you're breaking up. Knowing a reason is the most important thing. Even if it really hurts like you've found someone you like better. If it's a personality flaw, you might help him improve himself for you or his next girlfriend.

Well if u really love that guy go away straight and tell him that u love him, all the very best to u, well take a bottle of wine and some good stuff or gift, whatever comes to ur mind (well that doesn't matter a lot).
Plzzz for god sake don't start with all such thing as giving freindship card or "asking lets be friends", if u wanna love him then just tell him directly whats in ur mind, Buck up lady its 21st century and now its ur turn to intiate.

The many times I've bene dumped, I've been told that things just werent working out because of (fill in the blank). I've never resented any of my previous mates for it since I knew I obviosuly did somethign wrong to get dumped. If its more complicated than that, say it is and just do it. C'mon dont leave this guy up in the air nymore

I think you should explain why you don't want to see him anymore. And be honest. He'd really like to know. Maybe it's something he could change for his future relationships.

Be honest. Please. Dont hand him any "lets be friends" bs unless you actually do still want to be friends and dont mind him hangin out with you and treating you like his other friends....
