Read more than just one verse.

The solution lies in the fact that Adam and Eve had more than two children. According to the context, they had a large family. At Genesis 5:3 we read that Adam became father to another son named Seth and then, in the following verse, we read: “He became father to sons and daughters.” (Genesis 5:4) So Cain could have married one of his sisters or even one of his nieces. At that early stage of human history, when mankind was so close to perfection, such a marriage evidently did not pose the risks for the children of the union that it would today.

Adam and Eve had many "sons and daughters" (Gen 5:4). Seth wasn't born to Adam & Eve until Adam was about 130 years old. IF Cain and Able were born when Adam was young, then to call Seth the third son suggests that they had either no children or only daughters for about 100 years or more. Therefore, I don't believe that Seth was the third son.

The Bible doesn't chronicle EVERYONE'S life, just those who are important (major players, so to speak) to God's plan. And therefore, the daughters did not found cities or nations, etc., and so weren't considered major players.

If, by your question on Cain, you are suggesting that he was some kind of monster, I don't see that as the case. Though Cain was obviously self-centered, the sexual drive God put in people is strong enough to overcome many imperfections in a person's character -- otherwise, very few people would be married. He would have married one of his sisters, obviously.

Honestly because I don't think people in those days put much thought into any children past the first one or two. As for who would marry Cain, a daughter of man. Adam and Eve were not the only people on the planet. They were just Gods pet people. I read the story this morning.

Tying to find the names of ADAM and Eves Daughters is hard enough . The KJV does not even mention that EVE gave birth to twins when she had Cain and Able. they had twin sisters according to The lost books of the Bible and the Forgotten books OF EDEN.Cain and Luluwa,Able and Aklemia. Seth was the last born to them. After Cain killed His brother Able . He ran away with his Twin sister and married her and settled near where he had killed Able and had children by her.
An inter-family fight took place . And as they were out of the Garden by then they started going their separate ways.

Because the other sons and daughters had no real importance, just that they were to polluate the Earth. The reason they have Cain, Abel, and Seth is well:

1. Cain is the first murderer -- his anger and jealously lead to the murder of his brother, Abel

2. Abel was the first martyr. -- Abel's offering of flesh and blood(animal sacrifices) were pleasing to God

3. King David and Jesus would come through Seth's bloodline. Seth had the original spirit of his father, Adam, which the Bible does say and it is through Seth's bloodline that Jesus would come out of.

Oh, I can go on with question.

Obviously, there were other humanoids around contemporary with A&E and sons. Whether those peoples were endowed with the spirit of God is unknown, but I tend to think not.

It is my contention that those folks were not necessarily homosapiens as I believe A&E were, and it was those peoples who Cain eventually took up with. (This thought process needs to play out more, but this forum is not the place for it)

Moses condensed 2500 years of history into 50 chapters. How many sons and daughters would you have mentioned? The importance was the line that Christ was to be born into.

Because the writers didn't think of it. It is just a story and those kinds of details probably weren't considered necessary at the time.
