I hate to see anyone suffer it makes me so sad, I try and help those who might be suffering because I want things to be better for everyone.I often wonder why God could stand carelessly by and watch people suffer and why we are here cleaning up messes he makes. If he existed...

Yes, although our world, the people and ourselves is the cause of our suffering. But Almighty God controls every thing, He decides and allows suffering to happen, so technically He makes people suffer, cause He allows it. But we must not hate God for that. Suffering is a positive force that make us a better human being, more mature and full of wisdom. Suffering humbles us, so we can be more sensitive to other people feelings and needs.

God does not make you suffer. He is not the cause of your suffering. It is the fellow man and the imperfect world that we live in.

I really amaze at the people on here that point to the book of Job
and use it as an example of God causing human suffering!when
in actuality it stresses the fact that God is not responsible for
human suffering.starting In Job1:8 God asks the devil(satan)
"Have you set your heart on my servant Job,that there is no one like him in the earth,a man blameless and upright, fearing God and
turning aside from bad"?in 9 and 10 satan says God has put a
hedge around him proctecting him.In '11' he asks God to thrust out his hand against him and see whether "he will curse you to
your very face"God then tells satan in '12' every thing he has(Job)
is in your hand,Only Against him himself do not thrust out your
hand.in other words he would be allowed to test Job but not kill
him.The point of this is of course is, God did not himself cause
Jobs suffering,he allowed satan to test him because satan made
a challenge that NO human could be faithful to God under severe
trials. And as we all know the story has a happy ending.Job was
blessed a hundred fold, because he remained faithful to God and
proved satan a liar,That is now the task set before us all in our
day.Can we prove satan a liar?can mankind be faithful to God?

i believe that god put us through obstacles in order to learn appreciate life. Once we suffer, we learn to get out of it. Some people takes things for granted and they don't even have any idea what life could be in other world.
