Means they are thinking it or may ave even verbally mentioned it , but most people who plan to do so never tell anyone therefore having no one ruin thier plans, thinking about has no immediate plans, they are extremely down and probably need pyschological help.

If a person says they are thinking about suicide they are calling out for help. They don't want to go through with it. They could have a plan in place but it is more or less looking for someone to pay attention to them so that they can get the help they need.

when a person is thinking about suicide, they are planning it out and thinking about everything surrounding it.. is it the best way, does anyone care, whould anyone notice, should i write a note?
the most common thought that first comes to mind when thinking about suicide is usually cutting, a gun or rope
if they tell you that they are thinking about it they could be calling out to you are just letting you know so it isnt a surprise
well i hope that clears things up

It could be either. In any case the person probably needs to talk to someone who is understanding and can help them get assistance. Thoughts of suicide are often a sign of depression and left untreated this awful disease can ruin or even take a persons life. This is NOT a situation to keep quiet about. Encourage the person to find someone to talk to -- a counselor, religious leader, parent, doctor --anyone who can get some help for him or her. If the person will not or cannot seek help for themselves, speak up and don't be afraid to let someone know. You just might save their life even if they assure you they are not serious.

whether thinking about it or planning it out. It is an indication that something is wrong and the person is trying to get someones attention. Recommend a therapist or Counsel. Never take it lightly. Even if they don't really want to die...they obviously need a support system.

Yeah...........usually its time to find help for that person before the plan is carried out. My cousin did this .. and my uncle found him . he shot himself .. ( no gorey details ) FOr this case .. it was thought about planned .. but never the right time . a right time came and the event happened. sometimes events push these people to the edge of coping... and they need help... USUALLY thinking is a plan. you dont just think about it ... your thinking that you ended your life.. .. you had to die some how . each person is differnt when they say this . some have a plan... others dont but still have the same out come. suicide.
