It's not an idol. It's a reminder of what the one true almighty God did for us.

Idols, Christians don't wear Idol's around their neck. What are ya talking about ??? Who told you that ? Look again and you won't see an Idol, and if your insinuating a cross is an Idol, then your blinder then I thought . We do not worship a siimple gold cross. It is a reminder to us, that our Savior died for your and my sins. This is why the world and all beliefs are so corrupt. Never based on reality and so much propaganda .. Good learning question for you, though. So try to remember this: A cross is not an Idol to a Christian. It is a reminder of what Christ died on. That is all. We do not worship a reminder, but we do worship God the Father Almighty !!! Period !!

I'm a Christian. I don't wear idols around my neck. An idol is something you place before God, where most of your time is spent in admiration to it. An idol can be a new boat you bought, a new car, video games, tv, etc. Anything placed in front of God -- where most of your time is focused on it, instead of God, is idolatry. But, wearing a simple cross around your neck to advertise to others that you follow God's son is not idolatry.

I wear a wedding ring.
Do you have an issue with that?

A symbol, a statement, a reminder.
Not an idol.

Not all christians wear crosses. Christ's method of execution should not be venerated. The whole purpose of his death was to remove sin's curse on mankind. Before he ascended to heaven , he instructed his followers to inform others about him and baptize them and follow his commandments. Check out this link on the cross.

My cross? It isn't an idol. I don't worship it. I use it as a reminder to myself and others who see it of what is important to me...the One who died on the real cross to pay for my sins.
