What outcomes come out of hitting yourself?

I know someone that hits herself with locks, like locker locks. She hits her wrist and it bruises. I don't want any responses on what I can do to help because I already have that answered. I want to know if anyone knows what kind of medical problems can come of it if any.

Any type of impact wound could lead to blood clots that could travel though the bloodstream and clog the blood vessel, causing a stroke of heart attack if serious enough. If the impacts are sufficient enough, it may even have the possibility of rupturing an artery.

If she hits herself hard enough she could fracture a bone or cartiledge. She may have future arthritis because of the abuse she is giving herself. Obviously she has emotional problems and needs to see a counselor and I hope she is.

Bruising....broken bones...blood clots. infections. Not to mention all of the emotional issues surrounding it. Repeatedly hurting yourself will have physical and emotional consequences.

hard... very hard question i would say that she would do it for sooo long that then she would fell it all the time and want it more and more then when she would it could end up with really had health resk mayb even death i m that sounds mean but it is true and u need to tell someone or something!!!!

Your friend probably has low self esteem, and is taking out her own anger and frustrations on herself. It's a cry for help and attention.

Severe bruises CAN get infected.
Your friend is seriously mentally ILL!! Get help for her before she accidentally KILLS herself!
