if you have a high metabolism, the way that I know how to slow it down it to eat fewer times a day, then later on eat as much as you can...not the smartest way, but it works

You can try to tone your body by simple weight training. This will build some muscle and avoid the skinny look. Just be careful that you don't start losing weight by keeping your calorie intake high! Three well balanced meals a day with a few snacks in between should be a good start.
Check online for a good weight training routine and get started with purchasing a few 3 & 5 pound weights.
Good Luck!

Nope, you are not too skinny. Your BMI is 19, which is not too low. You were just blessed with a fast metabolism. Eat high protein foods, and things with lots of healthy calories like jamba juice.

It doesn't matter what you look like, skinny is just a describing word. if you are really worried about it then check out your BMI "Body Mass Index" . you can google this or I know that the American cancer society has one on their web page. however you must keep in mind how active you are, your family genes, how much you are sleeping and what you are eating. Even a BMI can be wrong, so once again if you really are worried then see a doctor

You being a teenager you most likely eat at fast food places with your friends. Stay away from these places. You will want to eat slow metabolizing foods such as red meat. If you want fish eat salmon, or trout, if you want chicken eat the dark meat, if you like pork eat pork roasts. Baked Potatoes or squash or sweet potatoes, rice, rice noodles. Don't eat simple carbs such as corn or peas because they metabolize to fast.

its not abnormal, alot of teenagers are naturally skinny, you will outgrow it, everyone does, i suggest a slight workout, jogging, swimming, or whatever, then drink a protien shake, you should also be taking a daily vitamin to make sure you're getting enough nutrients for your muscles to grow. do NOT eat unhealthy or junk food in an effort to gain weight.

It is thin for your height but if you eat normally I would not worry.
Are your uncles, brothers, your father thin---it could just be genetically normal in your family. You are apt to put on weight naturally as you get older.
If you are really concerned you could talk to someone about it, a parent, teacher or coach? Or you could eat high calorie snacks, nuts are high in calorie but good for you too.
