No.
Anyone in those ads who has lost weight did it by diet and exercise. (or surgery) That's it.

Yes, but only for a short while. You can't take pills your whole life, so you may as well not even start. Try this: next time you're eating and you think you should stop but can't, just push your food away and walk away. Clean up the table later when your hunger dies off. I have the same problem, don't worry. It's hard to stop eating. I'm not saying starve yourself, though, because that's bad! Eat to the point where you know that if you eat a few more bites, your belly will stick out.

Diet pills themselves do not work. Meaning, you cannot expect to just take pills and watch the weight go away. You will find that the best way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. Eat in and exercise in moderation. Do not expect sudden weight loss, but rather give yourself reasonable goals.

Over the counter (OTC) diet pills are considered as food supplements, and their use is unregulated. However, these are very popular and people continue to use them without considering the adverse side effects. Prescription diet pills are regulated and their side effects are monitored. I found information on weight loss pills and their side effects at http://toloseweight.org/weightlosspill.html

Yes, there are some that do work. I find that when you consult with your doctor and follow his directions you will do good. Just remember you can't live your life on diet pills
