I am a full-time working mom of two boys. They are 4 months (today!!) and a 3 year old. I fix a little breakfast every morning for the three year old & myself. I fix a breakfast everynight for my husband. He leaves before we eat. I plan out a two week menu for us. I cook suppers & we eat them together every night. I use the crock pot alot! Lunches for my husband & me are leftovers from the night before or just sandwiches. My 3 year old is fed breakfast, lunch and a snack everyday at dayschool. I try to feed my 4 month old when we eat so that he will get in habit of eating with us. It is our time to discuss the days activities & how we are since we don't get to see each other much.

I have 5 kids currently ranging from 1-10. I am a foster parent of a 1 yo and 2 yo and the other 3 are mine.
I cook around 5-6 nights per week. The other nights either my husband cooks or we go out. We rarely eat at fast food resturants. If I am going to pay money for other people to make my food, I would rather pay for a decent meal.
For breakfast, I cook about 4 mornings a week. Other days are simple breakfasts like cereal or toast.
Lunches during the week are bagged lunch. The kids that are home get sandwiches or macaroni or soup.
We sit down together every night of the week. Lunches and breakfasts as well if everyone is here. Dinner is around 5:30 or 6 depending on after school activities.

We have five kids. 17, 16, 15, 15, and 13! I cook mostly; but sometimes hubby helps! When schedules permit; we always sit and eat at the dinner table. I cook anywhere from 14 to 20 meals a week. I cook everything.....we don't buy any ready-to-eat meals! I work from home and I love to cook! I know in this fast food society that we live in hearing that someone actually cooks must be a shock!! lol

My kids are 6 & 3. The one in my belly is 20 weeks. I cook lunch and dinner nearly every day. I work as a healthy foods consultant and I teach people to avoid preservatives and trans fat. I practice what I preach. We are very careful to avoid most preservatives and trans fat. We also limit msg, sodium nitrites, high fructose corn syrup and sugar. Because of this I have to prepare most meals and snacks. On the nights we do pop open a box of mac and cheese or a frozen pizza they are all natural, organic brands that have no preservatives. No matter what we serve we all sit at the table together. The kids help me set the table. I collect cute platters and serving bowls. We live in Japan and at the 100yen store we can get some great dishes that make serving meals fun. I never just dish things up from the stove. They all go in serving bowls or on platters. Dinner is an event every night. Even if we're eating peanut butter and jelly. You can dress up just about any meal and it makes it more satisfying.

I work and when we had three, then two kids at home, we cooked and sat down to dinner 6 days a week and Friday night was Little Caesers pizza. Now, with one left and she'll be 18 in a few months - we probably have home cooked 3-4 times a week, counting leftovers, and me and hubby sit in front of the TV to eat.
I cooked a lot before partly because we couldn't afford to eat out more than that.

We have 4 kids--7, almost 5, almost 3, and a newborn. We eat out or order pizza maybe one time per month. I "cook" every night, but often the leftovers from one meal overlap with new side dishes, etc. Like Mondays I often cook a whole new meal; then tuesday we might have the leftover chicken and rice from Monday but I have to make a new vegatable. Then Wednesday I might have leftover veggies, but cook a new main dish. But we eat "home cooked" just about every night, I rarely make anything frozen except maybe fish sticks once in a while. I always have a frozen Stouffers lasagna in the freezer for emergencies, too.

I have 3 children who are 4, 5, & 6 year sold. I make home cooked meals about 3 times a week depending on my work and school schedule. I wish I could cook more but with work, school, their school work and soccer I can't find the time. Right now I'm trying something new and make a few meals on Fridays (my day off) so we can have real meals more often.

I have 4 children ages 9, 5, 4, and 2. Truthfully we sit down 2 days a week to a "home cooked" meal. We eat every night together, just sometimes pizza, chicken nuggets and french fries, etc. My husband works nights so I guess if he was home at night I would probably cook a lot more because of the help I would get with the children if he was home, but we do sit down every night and eat dinner together and talk about our day. And I do work opposite shifts from my husband so I am gone all day. We have a very hectic life so I am sure when my kids are teenagers I will also cook a lot more.

I make breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week. I have two girls, ages 19 and 20, in college and no the dinners aren't pizza, I actually cook a meal. Dinner is at 6 and everyone is expected to be here to sit down at the table and eat.

I usually cook 4 to 5 times a week. I always cook a big breakfast on Sunday morning. My husband is a firefighter and gone 48 hours at a time, I don't usually cook that much on those days. It's whatever the kids and I find that's quick or we eat out. But I try to cook everynight that he is home. We live very close to family so we eat with them a lot. We eat dinner at my in-laws just about every Sunday. My kids are 5 and 2.
