That's weird. First check to see if anything is on fire?
My mom smells cleaning fluid (like bleach) sometimes when she is eating. I am not sure what causes it. Could be an allergy.

Your question is a bit vague and I dun quite get it. Anyway, is your bf wearing rubber and is doing it too vigorously? The smell of burning could be due to this.
