to all the dealers and they only had new and pre-owned, but no used cars. Why is that ?

pre-owned cars sound better then used(same thing)
they will say anything to get you into the dealership(you cant buy over the phone).
just go out looking be willing to say no. they will all pretend to be your friend still say no find the NADA value before you say yes.
i would be glad to go looking with you if you are in Utah SLC area.
