Do basically what you are doing now. Take some midol then go lay down in a place where you can relax, put a heating pad or the thermacare patch thing on your lower abdomen, and then prop your feet up with 2-3 pillows. Bend your knees and prop them up while they are bent if you'd like. If you have seriously bad cramps every month, bad enough where it effects your daily tasks, you might want to go to a gynecologist and see about getting on birth control pills. If your already on birth control pills ask for a different kind. I had cramps so bad that I had to be put on birth control to help regulate it and believe me I barely ever have cramps now and my period no longer lasts 8 days it's down to 3 days now. Hope this helps you out cause I know they are sooo painful!!

Not that this well help you right away but they say that getting on birth control can help. It goes either way though...it helped my lil sister with her cramps but I got on it to help me with my cramps and it didn't work. Hot showers and laying in bed curled up in a ball works nicely..lol.

Icehot rubbed on your stomache helps relax the musles. If this is something that happens monthly and has been going on for more then a six months I would suggest see a doctor about the problem cause it can be more seroius problem.

I take a shower, take aspirin, and tried to relax by watching TV and eating chocolate and a cheese sandwich.

Just relax and pop a few Advil. That's what I usually do.
