No, I have never smoked, and do not even like to be around second hand smoke. I know a lot of people who have smoked and have lung cancer and other respiratory problems because of smoking. It is a unhealthy and hard to break habit, and I am really blessed that I never started. I have actually watched people putting back food items in the market because they have to buy cigarettes. Smoking ruins your teeth and breathe and skin. I know women who are fifteen years younger than I am and look fifteen years older because they have smoked so long, their skin is ruined. Your parents were very smart to quit, and you should not start. You should be very proud of them and yourself. Have a good night!

I have smoked about a pack a day since I was 19 and now I'm 26. I'm actually going to quit tomorrow!! (I'm not just saying that, I really mean it) Smoking is one of the biggest regrets of my life and is a hard habit to break. If you are considering taking up this activity, I suggest you take up a healthier hobby :-)

Yep, horrible habit, hard to give up. I started when I was eleven and am now 26. I smoke about a pack a day. I have tried everything to quit....the patch, the gum, hypnosis, meds, even accupuncture. And of course cold turkey. I think one really has to want to quit if they ever want to stand a chance. Good for your parents for quitting, and one suggestion to you: Don't start. It ruins your health and costs you a lot of money.

No, and I haven't tried it. I see nothing good about smoking and being around others who smoke irritates me and makes me sick. Why waste hard earned money on things that are known to give cancer and damage your health? That's just my opinion.
