In the circuit, the capacitor has a capacitance of 2.5 µF and the resistor has a resistance of 0.5 MΩ. Before the switch is closed, the potential drop across the capacitor is 12 V. Switch S is closed at t=0. What is the current in R immediately after switch S is closed?

U/R=12/0,5*10^6 V/ohm=24micro A

I'm assuming this is a series circuit and the supply voltage is 12V DC.

At T=0, the current is 12/500,000 or 0.024mA
