I am very interested in getting a tattoo on the back of my neck [preferably] of my astrological sign.. The scorpion. But because of it being on my neck.. It has to be fairly small. But I want it to be really colorful.. Really unique.. Really cute!! I was thinking about getting a tribal type looking scorpion or something like that.. In hot pink [my fav color] and having the m looking sign somewhere in there but I need some ideas!! Can anyone help?? :-) Thanks so much!
Favorite colors:Hot pink.. Anything bright.. red.. aqua.. But looove pinks!!
I was also thinking some stars maybe around the whole piece in different colors..? That would look really cool if I could just think of a good design and have everything placed right. Haha I NEED HELP!!!

I would suggest something similar to mine. Mine is larger due to its being on my shoulder blade, but it would look just as cute small. By the way, mine doesn't have the M symbol, it is a black scorpion over an aqua blue water droplet.
Have the scorpion done in bright pink, like you want, over the aqua M sign. I suggest aqua because scorpio is a water sign. A few scattered red stars would be cute though, especially if astrology is a big part of your life like it is mine (I'm a Pagan, and I'm really big on divination.)
But ultimately, the decision is yours. This design just looked cute in my mind based on what you said you wanted

I agree, DON'T DO IT!!! Unless you are joining the circus or a freak show a tattoo on the back of your neck will come back to haunt you. Put it somewhere that you can hide it easier because turtlenecks are not always in, especially during the summer. Another little bit of advice I'd like to add is try a design that is a little more original than the astrological sign, everyone has got one and you said you wanted something that was going to be unique. Also, get a friend or a tattoo artist to help you with a great design.

No offense, but signs are used frequently, and not very unique. neither is TRIBAL...not at all unique..Keep in mind that the smaller the tattoo does not mean the easier it is. Tattoos can be so smal to a point, and you couldn't fit manny colors into that small of a tattoo. I suggest going into your tattoo shop, ad sitting down with an artist, and have them design you a custom tattoo that you will adore...
Also, your neck is highly visible. Consider that it is harder to get jobs with tattoos, unfortunately, there are really cute locations where you can choose to show them off, or cover them for work!

that all sounds beatiful...the problem... all this stuff will be way way too big...for it to be little like u said u want it would all run together and u wouldnt tell what it was... if u want all that i suggest the lower back. for the back of the neck just the M sign would be better in fucsia with some nice shading. i have "strength" in chinese on my neck in purples and it is about 2" tall and wide ( i like the size of mine)
i suggest a press on or marker and have someone draw something there to see if u like the way it looks!!!! good luck

Scorpions are not cute. I am a scorpio as well. And live in a place where they run amuck everywhere. They are creepy and you never know if it is a mother carrying 30 babies on her back until AFTER you squish her and they run everywhere. Creepy and crawly. not cute.

dont do it!!!! if u want to have something unique then try something other than your sign. talk about a tattoo idea that has been used way too many times
