Honey, I think we live in an age that if we don't have anxiety we aren't normal. Just the state of the world is enough to make anyone anxious. Put all our own personal problems and our family and friends problems on it and geeze. My doc. said we need Prozac in the water.
I try to stay away from the news. I know enough about what's going on but, if I hear things over and over and my mind is so full of all the bad things going on, I get really anxious. So, I think we just have to do things that relax us, warm baths with lavender oil or spray , read books instead of watching TV. Rent comedies and laugh as much as possible. In the Bible it states that laughter is like medecine for the soul and I believe it's true. Spend time with people that make you laugh or who don't dump on you. I think anxiety is normal but, we have to make an effort to try to keep the triggers out of our lives as much as possible. good luck.

I agree with the first person. Though I think it can be a lot more then that. Sometimes mine seem to come out of no where. I can feel relaxed, know my blood sugar is fine, and all of a sudden my heart will start to beat really fast and I just lose it.
Talk to your doctor and get on some meds. I know they help me.

Unidentifiable bouts of anxiety come from subconscious worries. I can't tell you how it's accomplished, but you've gotta learn to pry into yourself; most bouts of anxiety have some root, whether its a rational one or not.
In response to below, learning to understand yourself and how you react to things does not cuase anxiety, and helps you discover what you need and want from life.

Overactive adrenal glands. This has many causes, most rooted in feelings of helplessness and being overwhelmed. This is pretty common in modern society since privacy no longer exists. You can't really ever be alone with your thoughts and it's driving most of us mad.

You have some sort of an unresloved issue in your life. I was having the same problem when to talk to a shrink and we figured out it was issues relating to my mother.
