also wear soft clothes such as a camo fleece or hunters orange fleece -- move slowly stop often --youcan wear hard boots if you can watch where you are steping -- if you are using a camera find a wrap to muffle any sound of the shutter or auto winding -- best way i would think would be not to go into the woods (for camera shoots - use a remote or motion detector for your cams) -- for hunting find a place or stand where you can sit and then dont move - movement = sound and motion that attracts the study from what ever animal you are there for. But the best way is to practice EVERY time you are outdoors in the woods and fields

Don't get in a rush. Plan what you are going to do. Look at the path you are going to take and avoid as much "crunchy" stuff as you can. Walk slowly, but steadily, place you feet down slowly. Don't try to cover too much ground at once. Stop often.

DO NOT try to sneak around too much. Predators sneak. Prey animals key into the sounds of a predator trying to sneak up on them. That's why the steady, but quiet pace often works best.

Walk toe to heel instead of heel to toe. You will have to practice it but you will have better control of the sounds that you make. Wear soft-bottom waterproofed shoes. Watch where your stepping at or what you are stepping on. I picked a white faux fur jacket (Goodwill) and dyed it orange. The other jackets made too much noise when they rubbed on branches. Make movements only when you have to, slowly and deliberate.

wear quieter clothes, like fleece or chamois cloth. walk heel to toe and do it slowly. soft soled shoes help, too. if your stalking deer and have to walk through a bunch of leaves, shuffle through them while using your squirrel or turkey call. i've often fooled them this way.

its heel toe not toe heel while stalking just take your time going through the woods if you think your going slow go slower take a few steps and scan your surrounding look for parallel lines don't look for the whole deer you'll never see them that way

Stick to the trail. Travel light. Don't talk. Wear cloths that don't swish. Secure any loose items on your pack and clothing.

Obviously, don't talk but also wear soft-soled shoes like mocassins so you can feel any twigs or brances under your feet.
