funny. I am so down now. You would really be helping a mother out and I would be so grateful.

A soldier, a marine, and an airman got into a fight about which service is best. The fight was so heated, that they killed each other.

Soon, they found themselves in Heaven. They see St. Peter walk by and ask, “Which
Branch of Service is the best?”

St. Peter replied, “I can't answer that. But, I will ask God what He thinks the next time I see Him.”

Some time later, the three see St. Peter again and ask him if he was able to find the
answer.

Suddenly, a dove landed on St. Peter's shoulder. The dove was carrying a note in
its beak. St. Peter opened the note and read it out loud to the three fellows:
“Gentlemen: All the Branches of the Service are ‘Honorable and Noble’. Each one
of you has served your country well. Be proud of that.

GOD, USN (Ret.)”

The old Navy Chief finally retired and got that chicken ranch he always wanted. He took
with him his life-long pet parrot.

First morning at 0430, the parrot squawked loudly and said, “Reveille, Reveille. Up all
hands. Heave out and trice up. The smoking lamp is lighted, now Reveille.”

The old chief told the parrot, “We are no longer in the Navy. Go back to sleep.”

The next morning, the parrot did the same thing. Chief told the parrot, “If you keep this up, I'll put you out in the chicken pen.”

Again the parrot did it, and true to his word, the Chief put the parrot in the chicken pen.

About 0630 the next morning, the Chief was awakened by one heck of a ruckus in the chicken pen. He went out to see what was the matter. The parrot had about 40 white chickens at attention in formation, and on the ground laid 3 bruised and beaten brown chickens. The parrot was saying, “By God, when I say fall out in dress whites, I don't
mean Khaki's!

May God bless and keep you both in his loving arms.

Why dont you write your son that way there will be a card when he gets back from leave. I know when I was a field training mail was as precious as gold, it will make you both feel better. Also I know it is hard to be seperated from those you love, but it does show us how much those people mean to us. I am third generation military brat and am going to be married in a year or so and am worried about leaving my husband behind if I have to go on tour, so I feel your pain. Not sure if I made you feel any better, but I wanted to say something.

Think ahead to the day when he will return. Imagine the joy, the sparkle in both your eyes. Meanwhile, feel proud that you are sending a brave son for our country. Find out another mother who might be in the same situation, talk with her and you should feel good.

What a wonderful mother you must be. You have obviously raised a respectful, smart and loving boy. As a mother of 2 boys I hope one day I can say the same thing about them. Well done!

I wish I could assure you that there is no chance of world war 3 starting soon, or that all wars have been ended, and that every nation has suddenly decided to live in peace and harmony. But we've all got to live in the real world, and accept life's trials and uncertainties. That is why God has promised to be with those of us who trust in Him. May He comfort and be with you.
