I occasionally have crash diets, go for days without eating Carbs, that wont work so then i'll not eat for a few days, then i'll pick at food or occassionally have meals and throw it up.

This lasts a few weeks, then sometimes i'll be OK for a few weeks and still watch what i eat, but eat healthy.

i am 168cm weighing 57kgs, although i am at my heavier stage having put on 4 kgs in 3 months (the winter coat) During summer i generally weigh 54kgs. My goal is 50Kg, i hope to get to this gial weight by the end of summer.

Eating disorders are a progressive disease just like alcoholism. It can become very dangerous and may become life threatening. Purging causes severe dental damage as the disease gets worse. You can rupture blood vessels in your esophagus when purging.
If you think you have an eating disorder then you probably do. From your symptoms I would definitely say you do.
Those who suffer from eating disorders use this to gain control in their lives and as an emotional coping mechanism.
It is a very torturous disease for the person suffering.
If you are in a lot of emotional pain or cannot take stress in your life please seek counseling. This is a deep rooted emotional disease.
Some people choose drugs or alcohol and some people choose food or all of the above to cope. Life today is very stressful and we are not all superwomen or supermen.
If you are afraid to ask for help start getting information by reading about the effects of the disease. There are some support groups on line too if you can find them.
Good luck and God bless!

I think you're hanging on to media induced propaganda that tells you what a woman should look like. There's nothing wrong with you. You'll be just fine. Just start a healthy diet and regular excercise and everything will be just fine. Can ya dig it?

Since I cannot "interpret" kgs into lbs, or cms into ft. and inches, I can't be too specific with your absolutes, however I can do math, and 4kgs is only 7% of your total body weight of 57kgs, which means that you're general weight of 54 kgs is 94.6% of your current body weight, a loss of only 5.4% of your total body weight, and your ideal body weight for the summer is 88% of your total body weight, a loss of 12% of your total body weight. Again, since I can't "interpret" kgs into lbs., I cannot be specific as to whether you are bordering too low in body weight as to give rise to bodily concerns associated with anorexia nervosa, but I can say that a loss of 12% of your body weight for a seasonal appearance may give rise for concern, unless your athletic activities give rise to such a loss, but then, if you're athletic, you'd actually gain weight due to the increase of muscle mass which weighs more than fat tissue. And, if you were athletic for health reasons as opposed to "show" issues, deliberately throwing up would NOT be an issue for you, so, regardless of your body weight losses as a percentage of your total body weight, the fact that you deliberately throw up for the sake of appearing a certain way gives rise for concern about bulimic issues. A person who is interested in athletic performance would realize that bulimic behavior is negative to athletic skills, and one who is into one's appearance for appearance's sake would realize that muscle tone is so much more important than total body weight and also would avoid bulimic behaviors and would engage in prescribed exercises, which may actually increase one's appetite but would cause a beautiful distribution of one's weight in the desired areas. I am aware of all these issues since I have 20+ years as a mental health professional who dealt with anorexia nervosa and bulimia as part of my practice, and I have had about 20 years as a "hard core" bicycle racer/long distance rider, and am keenly aware of issues of body weight, percentage of fat, water and muscle, dietary issues and the like. You want to stay healthy and look great? Stop the throwing up and go joing a gym or spa or whatever or go join friends who do things like swim, bicycle, walk, run or lift weights, and you'll start looking so perfect that you'll never waste your time on Yahoo Answers again asking questions such as the one you've asked now. God Bless you.
