With all of the worry about illegal (not undocumented) aliens, why not just pass a law that allows them to work, registering them with a second tier soc. sec. number.
1.they will NEVER be granted credit towards any social security plan, but they MUST pay into it to keep the playing field level and it would serve as a penalty for being illegal in the first place.
2.they would never be allowed to become legal!!!
3. their job would be forfiet anytime a LEGAL person applied for that job, which would, of course nullify the claim of their filling unwanted jobs
4. non-working illegals would be subject to immediate deportation, no appeal available!
this type of system would would seem to give nearly everybody what they want and would also show the falsehoods that have been used in this debate.
what is wrong with this approach?

2nd class 'citizens'? look up the word citizen!
2nd class humans?
hmmm. prisoners are not 2nd class and look at their situation
'OF THEIR OWN MAKING'!
so if the illegals, who are a criminal class unto themselves, wish to be here, they and YOU have nothing to complain about!

Redawg J and Carol R are wrong, this is a good plan and to keep it from "second class humans" thought, simply require that the companies pay them a fair wage, provide all necessary safety equipment and if their job is taken over by an American give them two weeks notice so they have a little time to prepare.

I as quickly as observed the full of the British Leyland plant down approaches as a results of fact one forklift driving force have been given spattered by way of water off a tarpaulin on a wagon and no waterproofs and wellies have been obtainable. the undeniable fact that it develop into the midsection of summer, no longer a rain cloud in sight and all of us develop into in t-shirts held no sway with the union rep. No waterproofs, no artwork. I had to %. up my approaches and depart the artwork i develop into doing - took 3 days of "effectual negotiations" for that farce to get appeared after out!! If it somewhat is the form of Union rights you're talking approximately you may shop them. If, on the different hand, we are talking approximately commercial action against such issues as increasing gasoline expenses and being taken to the cleaners by way of the applying companies then Cable is out of order. the only difficulty then is getting the inhabitants to easily develop a backbone and get up for a replace. despite if human beings like it or no longer the united kingdom financial device is fragile, I run my own small corporation and circumstances are somewhat demanding. the final element this united states desires appropriate now's commerce Unions calling nonsensical strike action.

I'm for allowing a workfare program first, and any thing that would allow forighners to work in America a big second to that. I'm not aginst migrant workers, it is illegal immigration, and shadey employment practices.
However I can't help but see a program like that being exploited, I belive a company should have to apply with local and federal goveremnet before bring in any one from another country.

I'm sorry, I sort of skimmed through it. On a second look, it seems much more appealing. But they should also help fund education and should not be allowed to put more children into the school system than they pay for.

Great idea. Too bad the companies that exploit cheap illegal labor would not agree because then they would actually have to pay a real wage.

I'll tell you what's wrong with this approach...it's treating fellow human beings as inferior because they are from somewhere else. You Americans are rude, and racism is running rampant in your country. How about a positive solution?
