I hate when I see the term "illegal immigrant", because they are not immigrants, they are aliens, or criminals. Immigrants are the ones that fill out the papers and pay the fee to get into my country. Second, people do not hide their racism within the fight over illegal aliens. I do have a problem with most mexicans, why, because they refuse to assimilate to my culture, waive my country's flag, and learn my language when they are in my country. I don't have a problem with the ones that were born here to legal parents that follow the law, or the ones that paid the fees and went through the steps to get here legally then assimilate to our culture. Its the ones that came here illegally, demand we learn their language, fly their flag, and hate Americans that I have a problem with. They can swim there mexican flag waiving a.sses back across the river they came over in the first place and stay out of my country. They are the largest group of illegal aliens, so they get the biggest blame as they should.

It's mostly the fault of the American government when you think about it.
Some of these Mexicans are born in a society where they can barely make $1 a day. On top of that, they have to pay hundreds and maybe thousands of dollars to legally come into the U.S. How do you think they'd be able to do so??

And talking about illegal, has anybody who posted in this thread ever stolen a song online. Don't tell me that none of you have.

Its basically the same thing, only to a different scale. In stealing music, you are sharing a copy of something that you'd normally have to pay for, but you're assuming it hurts nobody (except the artists and singers.)
Mexicans coming into this country are just sharing it, not taking it over. So its still illegal, but this was a different way of looking at it.

No, I don't think so. Some of my friends are Mexican, and I have relatives that are straight from across the boarder but they are citizens of the U.S. And I love them and they love me. But I am against illegal immigration. Become a citizen. Even my relatives and friends complain and say that they should become citizens. I know it's hard but it's better than getting deported, or risking your life trying to get here.

No.

If you remove the "illegal" in your question, the question would be meaningless - why is it so hard to understand that "illegal" is the concern - not racism or Mexicans or immigration - IT'S ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION that's causing all of the fuss!

I am just anti illegal all together, I am not racist.
The fact is that Mexican people are the highest rate of illegal aliens within the USA & have been for quite a while.

The word " illegal immigration" does not just refrer to Mexicans,
Stop playing the race card, Illegal immigration has nothing to do with hate and racism, its about breaking the law.

I think that a lot of people do. Maybe not most of them, but at least some. But the fact is, illegal is illegal.

I'd rather see people legalized so they can pay taxes and quit being taken advantage of by employers and slumlords.

has nothing to do with racism. It is the fact that they are coming here illegally and snubbing their nose at the system.

The system and laws are what have made America, America. So to break the very rules that make the country, destroys the country.

You don't hear anyone going against mexicans that came here legally now do you.

Doesn't matter if its mexican or any other nation, we just want them to come like everyone else has. No one is more special than the next.

No...considering that most topics concerning illegal immigration have nothing to do with racism. Typically it has to do with economics, crime, taxes, etc. I wish people would get over it and stop playing the race card.

Yes they are trying to hide their racism by saying it's an "immigration issue". If it's just an "immigration issue" why do so many posts here start with the title "Mexican" this or that?

In this forum I find very few people who hide their racism, most of them shout it from the rooftops.
