If you buy a car in FL you pay 6% sales tax to through the DMV. I don't remember the price for the other stuff but it's listed on the FL DMV website. In FL the physical license plate stays with the owner NOT with the car. So, in my case, I bought a car and the owner took the plates, when I went to register it I had to pay for a plate (only one in FL, goes on the front) the price for that is also on the DMV website. Those 2 brought up the DMV costs quite a bit but the other costs and such are normal it's just the inital visit that costs a bit more. Also, they charge you a % of your total if you use a debit/credit card so make sure to bring cash. If all this suprises you remember, it's Flroida.

a quick title should cost about 25-30 bucks
the plate alone costs 100 bucks...but then its yours and can transfer from car to car if need be
tags should cost about 30 bucks...this is that little sticker to put on the plate....
the tax is figured on the selling price of the car...if im thinking right its running about 7 percent....(price u bought it for)if your moving into the state of florida u dont have to pay this tax...just a title transfer
need to make sure u have insurance on vehicle before trying to get ur tags...state of florida keeps this info on file and knows when u dont have it.....hope this helps u
