"According to the bible, they do not go to heaven. Figure it out."
If you know there is biblical support for something, show it. In this particular situation, even, there is not true biblical support for the idea that the speaker of this quote was talking about.

SevenLights..if that is your only response, then I wasn't asking you. I'm not sure if I've heard you saying anything other than Christianity/the Bible is false.
Also, to the second "answerer", I didn't post this to try and defame the person who said what I quoted...I don't think it matters what "context" it was in, because either way if there was biblical support something, surely they should have showed it. There are a lot of words in the Bible, telling someone to go find a particular something without showing them anything doesn't do anyone very much good.

It gets worse. Often people invent scripture through such claims, simply to give themselves a justification for their own beliefs.
Dismiss their claims.

Jesus showed there is two classes of faithful, one he called a little flock that the Father had approved of giving the kingdom to, Luke 12:32, and Jesus said he would go his way to the Father to prepare abodes for, but he also said he had OTHER SHEEP NOT OF THIS FOLD, John 10:16. Revelation talks of those who were bought from the earth to serve as preists and kings in heaven and rule over the earth,Revelation 5:9,10, they number 144,000, Revelation 7:3,4 Revelation 14:1-3. Psalms 37:11,29,34 talks about those who will reside on the earth forever, the OTHER SHEEP. These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, survive Armegeddon. Revelation 7:14

And how would having Biblical support for it make it any more so? This is a book that has plant life on Earth before there is day and night, something that is biologically impossible. So I'd take any utterance of "The Bible says" with a grain of salt, even if they do cite a particular passage of that work of fiction.

This is for every religious question here in Yahoo Answers!
Why do you persist?
Religion does nothing but divide humanity.
It this what you want? To divide human beings?
If religion is so wonderful, any religion, why don't you find a
way to unite all human beings?
What the hell or heaven is wrong with souls who embrace
some raging religion and hate others because they don't believe
what you do?
I am not insulting anyone who believes they are religious.
I just want to know why religion of any sort is so cold, so
selfish, so angry!
Every soul who is on this planet is trying to do the best
they can. Every soul who is on this planet wants to live,
to love, and to be safe!
If the god you believe in is so wonderful why don't you show
the rest of us the truth of it?

I agree. If someone is naming the Bible as a source, they should back it up with the verse itself, or the address of the verse.
All too often people say "Bible," when what they mean is " I heard it somewhere."

Not knowing where the quote came from, I can't agree.
But, according to Revelation, God has picked 144,000 from all time and places to work as Kings and Priests for, and with Jesus, and with those resurrected. Some will not make it to eternity, but many will.
