Look beyond that the meek will inherit the earth and live a meek (humble and gentle) life and you will be following in the footsteps of Christ. God gave us the earth and those who are humble and live a Christian life will ultimately inherit the earth-will inherit life-a promise to live forever with God in his kingdom. What it literally means is not 100% sure.
