Do not be in a hurry or you will be sorry. Continue chatting and as and when you both get a deeper understanding of eachother things will fall into place.

So you want to move onto the next stage of the friendship... but remember, you have not even met.... physically I mean. I guess if you want a sexual partner than having someone a thousand miles does not seems a good idea; however, if you want a real friend and a lover then you may have to work at the relationship a bit; I may be old fashion, but I will a lot of problem with someone whom I have only talk to for 3 weeks demanding 'something more' on the first date. Anyway, good luck.

Go meet her! She may be just as nervous as you and trying to keep both your expectations down to avoid disappointment. Go on a date, friendly or romantic, and see how it goes.
Be yourself and be honest with her. Most people start relationships by being friends. Are you expecting her to fall in love and /or screw you on the first date? Let her get to know you first.
Ask her if she means friends first or just friends forever. Then decide if you're going to make the trip. It's not fair to her to expect her to fall in love with you with out even meeting you.
I wonder how mature you may be if you are willing to "just avoid her" if she doesn't "want the same", and yet you say you "like her a lot".

I think that is the best way to play things easy by starting out as friends. You have not yet physically met her, so you can never be sure if you really love her. Just play it easy and the best way to start a relationship is by being friends. Take it from me, I have been there

Yes I think you really should tell her how you feel. She'll probably understand. And I mean is she likes you good and if not hey at least you had the guts to tell her.
