Think grants & scholarships first. Free money is always best.

It's a fairly easy process. First go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out the financial aid forms. The results will be sent to your financial aid office and most likely you will be able to cover the rest of your expenses using subsidized stafford loans. They are the best loan as they have the lowest interest rates and the easiest repayment terms. If you still need more $$, then you will have to take a private loan. Private loans have slightly higher interest but they send the money directly to you so that you get to decide what it gets spent on. A very good private loan company is http://www.thinkfinancial.com ....they are very easy to deal with and only take about 10 minutes to fill out hte application online. Good luck.

You can get a stafford loan through any local or big time bank. If you have credit you can apply for other loans from any bank... just make sure they aren't stafford since you can only get one stafford loan per year. Also, if you on't have credit then get a co signer... if youcan't get a co signer - you will have to get grants from the government or scholarships... if the stafford loan doesn't cover everything.

The best loans are Stafford loans. They are differed and the repayment rates are the best. Fill out your FAFSA and go talk to your financial aid office. They may be able to get you a subsidized Stafford.
