(That's twice as many dead as under Sadaam's entire two decade rule.)

Just wondering what the "Semper Fi" set has to say.

I'm sure it was worth it.. right?

Oh.. that number comes from the the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Apparently they spent a couple years out there talking to witnesses, morgue workers, etc.

Naturally the "Semper Fi" set disputes the number.

"Do you feel like a coward for sitting on you butt and critizing those who are sacraficing everything?"

Those who have lost everything live in places like Lebanon and Iraq.

And yes, I do feel like a coward for not doing more to stop the war and change the minds of my ignorant fellow americans.

Perhaps its time for armed revolution hmmm?

Are idiots really born with their views, and there are enough answers to this question that want to make me puke. A bunch of mindless morons!

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 http://thinkprogress.org/2006/08/21/bush-on-911/

He was not a terrorist, exactly the opposite! He trained no terrorist, he didn't like Osama as their views clashed! The only thing Saddam had was oil and oil reserves, which Bush, after changing his story 13 times on the reason for Iraq, admitted Friday those were the reasons we attacked Iraq!

The US Knew, or should have known, there would be a civil war (89 killed in 2 days)!! Everyone else knew it! George Bush Sr a decade ago said that is what would happen! More than once!

Bush distabilized that whole area, turning the power over to Iran, who Irtaq held in check for years! Saddam never even hated the US. You can bet Iraqi's do now!

We have made more enemy's, we are unsafer according to several VALID reports, we have lost respect in the eyes of the world, and considered by most to be the number 1 threat to peace!

Beyond what Bush killed with his illegal unilateral attack of a soveriegn nation, based on lies that he knew were lies,we killed 1/2 MILLION children under 5 with our illegal blockades, We starved them to death!

The short of it is, we would be much better off right now if Bush were never elected and Saddam was still in power!

"He paused for a moment; I could see him trying to calm his breathing. He began to slowly read from the Wall, his eyes moving randomly over the panel. "David T. Hilton. William C. Langham. John A. Gibson. Richard Galan. Danny Lee Frye. Cecil D. Lamm. All these boys blown off the face of the Earth, because we just can't keep our noses out of what's happening on the other side of the world. Ever read George Washington's Farewell Address?"

I shook my head. "He told us not to concern ourselves with what other countries are doing to and amongst themselves. He said it would just get us mired in a big mess. But did we listen? Nooooo. He warned us! Jefferson warned us! Most all of the Founders warned us! John Quincy Adams, about thirty years later, said 'America does not go out in search of monsters to destroy.' Well, now we do, John Q.

"You know what I finally figured out? People don't start wars. Countries don't start wars. It's governments that start wars. ******' governments. And we go along with it. Whenever you see a problem, social or economic or political, and think that government should do something about the problem, do a little homework and you'll probably find that government is the source of the problem. And war is just the epitome of government problem solving. So what if a majority thinks that this coming war is right. The majority is just something that government manufactures and manipulates to give the appearance of legitimacy to what government does.

"And as for those government bozos who say that those who question their plans and motives is unpatriotic and aiding the enemy, well, they can just kiss my ***."

Col David Hackworth, the most decorated soldier in Vietnam!

Hey wolfman, how many years did you spend in the military? How many years did you spend in combat? If none, just shut your mouth!

hello naoize, I know you are only going by what you are told, but I am sorry, but this is the truth that you can find this is true with 2 minutes of searching. Did you know that it was a Republican Supreme Court Justice who wrote the opinion for Roe Vs Wade, yes it is true, Did you also know who the CHIEF Supreme court Justice was at the time. yes a Republican also, who agreed with it and pushed the issue. Did you know the Mrs Bush said on national TV (The Today Show) that she did not think the Roe VS Wade should be over turned. Did you know that as of right now, The Republicans control the Supreme Court by a Margin of 7-2, (Republicans have appointed 7 of 9) The Republicans have control the House and Senate, they could easily overturn Roe Vs Wade, but did not, have not, will not. All I am telling you are facts, you can look up Roe VS Wade in any web encyclopedia and it will tell you the same thing, or look up (Mrs Bush Today Show Abortion) and you will see that that is true also. The whole Roe VS Wade was about whether the Government could force a woman to do what they thought was best with her body, that's it. If you don't think Republican woman get just as many abortions as Democratic woman, you need to look up those stats also There are so many gray areas politicians twist around, all politicians, just some more than others

I'm just wondering, how does it feel to be a complete DUMB@SS? You have and never will spend a day in the military and yet you feel better than those who protect your freedoms and rights, even the right to be a raging MORON. Just for your info, not all of those people were innocent. And even if there were that many KILLED, they were not murdered. Some of those so called innocents would strap bombs to themselves just to kill as many people as possible. To them it doesn't matter if it's a US soldier or just some random person on the street. Yes, the women and children have either done this on their own or been forced to take these actions. Other times it is the insurgents that will not hesitate to open fire in a heavily populated area killing many innocent civilians. Another question, how do you know the exact number that Saddam killed while in power? Our government is still trying to find out. So quit trying to aggravate the Marines just for your enjoyment, and until you can say that you have served in the military and have personal experience to back up your claims, SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!

HEY JACK@SS I AM IN THE MILITARY AND SERVING PROUDLY I MIGHT ADD.

No, I don't feel like a murderer. I say, kill them all and let God sort them out. Better them and their children than me and mind. The Iraqis are killing each other and I'd prefer to keep it that way. Of course, this is the opinion of the wife of a former Marine who is currently a U.S. Soldier serving in Iraq. Semper Fi? Most definitely.

I don't feel like a murderer because I NEVER supported the war on Iraq. Prior to our invasion I became an activist and participated in many demonstrations and peaceful protests and marches against the war. I was too young to vote against the Bush Family Junta during his first election, but during the last Presidental Election I drove 300 miles round trip to vote against Bush (my absentee ballot got lost in the mail). I have written letters to various members of Congress concerning the situation. I have done everything I legally and possibly could to speak out against this war, and it is not my fault we are there. I am truly sorry for the loss of that many people under this false guise of "terrorism" and hope that the people of Iraq will someday be at peace.

More were actually killed by Saddam than was recorded. They now have freedom to enjoy liberties that they never had before under Saddam. By the way Saddam quelled the violence by brutal tactics. But if you think that is okay, then I think you would have loved NAZI Germany. I do not feel like a murderer. Do you feel like a coward for sitting on you butt and critizing those who are sacraficing everything?

Nope. No more than automobile manufacturers feel like murderers for manufacturing an invention that kills about 40K a year in the US.

I wonder if the "Hey Hey LBJ, how many kids did you kill today" set feels responsible for the killing fields of Cambodia once western powers left Indochina.

too bad they DIDN'T TELL YOU THIS LITTLE survey, poll etc has a margin of error of over 400,000 meaning we have killed 655,000 plus or minus 400,000 meaning it isn't worth the paper it is printed on given the exceptionally large margin error. Besides statistics can be skewed to prove anything case in point.

There are 90% more auto accidents today than in the whole year of 1904.

well since we have not had one ( except for WWII) that killed that many innocent people, and I think WWII was well justified, no I don't see a issue with it.

I beleive the bombing of Japan was well justifed to save lives and stop the war.

by the way there has not been that many total deaths in Iraq since teh war started

2006-10-15 15:11:36 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 1 2

I don't feel like a murderer for supporting a war that killed any number of innocent people because I have never supported the war in Iraq. Not only that, I never supported Bush or his lying, cheating, stealing political party. So, no I don't.

And no, I don't think it was worth it.
