not only do you think that Christians make our laws (psst, they don't, though Muslims make the law in the middle east)
But you will equate what we put people to death for (a shot in the arm for the pain and misery of many who were murdered and their suffering families)
with what Muslims put people to death for: fornication, adultery! You should move there, I wonder how long you would make it.

Funny, I don't like it when ANY culture acts in a brutal and backward fashion...
However I should point out that most muslim countries do NOT force burkahs on their females, or stone people to death, the Burkah is almost only present in the gulf states now with the fall of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. The same goes for the stonings... Funny, it's the gulf monarchies that the USA tends to support...

The reason I bring up the acts of violence in the Bible, and particularly those that were committed by Yahweh himself, is that many Christians want to think their religion is butterflies and rainbows when it is not. The Bible is the basis of Christianity. If the Bible falls apart, so does the religion that was built upon it.
Hypocrites? It's far more hypocritical to me to pretend the Christianity is something it is not... and that the Bible is something it is not... and that Yahweh is something he is not. Christians who pick and choose what to believe from the book their religion is built upon are the hypocrites. But, I happen to believe murder is the higher wrong than hypocrisy.
Furthermore, I question anyone that kills without just cause. However, America is my country, and though I have concern for the world, I have far much more concern for the corner of the world where I and my family must live. Christianity is by far the dominant religion in my country.

Two things.
One, we DO ask why Muslims are still doing that. Go to http://iidb.org/ (a popular secularist forum) and read some of the threads about Islam.
And two, we ask why the bible says to execute people because it points out a hypocrisy in your religion. What makes you think you can pick and choose your religion. Please read your bible and realize how much hate and fear-mongering bile it contains. And you still call your religion peaceful and loving?
Fundamentalists are against homosexuals and call genesis literal, but I guarantee that they've eaten lobster and worn polyester. Those are also, apparently, sins that are just as bad.
What makes you think you can pick and choose your religion?
