Nonbelievers demand proof because they don’t understand the trusting nature of our relationship with God.
Faith requires us to open our mind in a trusting way, to acknowledge there may be something we can’t explain or fully understand. Somehow, it is the willingness to trust that opens the way for the Holy Spirit.
I do think God wants us to have a choice. He doesn’t want us to all fall down before him and worship unceasingly because we have to. He wants us to come in faith and trust and to use our time on this planet to make what we can of our lives.

This is for every religious question here in Yahoo Answers!
Why do you persist?
Religion does nothing but divide humanity.
It this what you want? To divide human beings?
If religion is so wonderful, any religion, why don't you find a
way to unite all human beings?
What the hell or heaven is wrong with souls who embrace
some raging religion and hate others because they don't believe
what you do?
I am not insulting anyone who believes they are religious.
I just want to know why religion of any sort is so cold, so
selfish, so angry!
Every soul who is on this planet is trying to do the best
they can. Every soul who is on this planet wants to live,
to love, and to be safe!
If the god you believe in is so wonderful why don't you show
the rest of us the truth of it?

Its not even that easy. When Jesus walked the earth doing miracles some still did not believe in him.

Hi - one question that most non-believers have is - why is it based on faith in an invisible man in the sky? Why didn't God make it so plainly obvious that there would be absolutely no question about Him by any person anywhere on earth.

Can I put this question to bed..
You cannot prove that something doesn't exist.
I cannot prove that invisible aliens are 7000 meters under the sea.
If I couldn't find them, you would just say "ahhhh, that is proof that the aliens are invisible".
The thing is (and this is the stand out thing for me here folks) is - Christianity has to reduce itself - to using the oldest logical chalatain trick in the book..
Everything based on this stuff is complete rubbish.
Why should Christianity be any different?

Ok, I'm not sure if this helps but this is what I got. When I was 15 I was in a bad car accident, almost took my life. I had massive head trauma and broken bones all over. Now here is my thing, If there is no God how am I still here? Answer me that and tell me there is not a God.

yes ur right. We cannot see Christ but we know He is real. But yeah it gets annoying when non0believers always ask for proof when we constantly tell them that we have our own testimonies of our lives and that that is enough proof. And even more proof that He is real but they are just to ignorant and want to be the right ones all the time so they dismiss anyone who tries to prove the existence of God.

Right on brother. If God were to revel Himself to the world, what would there be to make up your mind about? Faith is the key and God's grace is the answer. Through His grace alone we are saved from the wages of sin.

Look all around you, there is proof everywhere, NATURE if you look at nature, every thing needs something, that God has made to survive, MAN without WOMAN cannot survive, flowers without rain cannot survive, we without rain cannot survive, Babies without grownups cannot survive, BUT yet we are BORN babies, so that goes to show you that GROWNUPS came before babies, and yet thats what we are when we first come into the world now, we need air to survive, and we have it, because God made it. THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS.

If God appeared in the sky all the time, we wouldn't have faith, would we? We'd have certainty.
Faith is the opportunity for us to show some maturity to God, and show Him respect and devotion of our own free will.
