Not at all. December weddings are beautiful. I'm getting married December 30th, 2006. And I live in Minnesota. It will be cold, but with the snow and being right around Christmas it will be awesome. Then we can honeymoon to some where tropical. Remember its your day, not theres.

December is actually a better month to get married because it is cheaper, everyone want to get married in the summer so the prices are much higher so that is a good time to get married, and also if you are going somewhere tropical for the honeymoon it wont be so hot, so despite what everyone else says you made a good decision.

I got married December 4th, my brother December 6th, my husband's best friend December 1st, his other friend December 3rd, my boss December 2nd. Obviously there is nothing wrong with getting married in December. A great benefit of getting married the first Saturday in December is that the honeymoon should be cheaper. Prices in the Carribean usually go up December 15th. Good Luck

My friend is getting married this December and it is annoying the sh*t out of everyone. This is because the season is hectic and stressful enough before throwing a wedding into it. Take into account that it is the worst traveling time of the year and the hardest time to get time off work. If you must get married in December make it very early December.

I so wanted to get married at Christmas. I dream of snowflakes, snowmen, and Christmas trees decorated with ornaments for the quests as their wedding favors. Yes, honey get married in Christmas. I begged my daughter to let me give her a Christmas wedding, but she didn't want the hussle and bussle because she's still college.
Her best friend, who's like a second daughter to me, is thinking seriously of a Christmas wedding. I am so anxious, because I can't think of no other time in the year that could be more perfect for a union of a man and woman. Christmas is perfect, and I hope you just have the most happiest of weddings possible.
Honeymoon--I love to go to a small town that decorates the whole place for Christmas, ride in a horse drawn carriage, snuggle under the blankets with the man I love. Drink hot choco by a fire place..sounds like heave to me!
God bless us all...........

Well, I would have to say "no" or my wife would kill me. Just under 44 years ago, we were married on December 23. In truth, we were driven by the college schedule. We were married over Christmas break.
It has caused some problems - anniversaries tend to get lost in the Xmas madhouse. The classic was the year we BOTH forgot, and did not realize it until Dec 24.
Aside from that, no problems.

It's just because of the weather, I think. People like getting married when birds are chirping and flowers are blooming. They can wear a strapless dress and pose outside for pictures. Winter is thought of as the opposite season. So....it can be seen as gloomy. I think it would be beautiful to have a wedding in the snow...
Also, Christmas and New Years and Thanksgiving, etc...that's a lot to compete with.
Hope this helps.

no a December wedding is great. Jay and I want ours in middle of Jan. because no one ever has anything to do in the winter so its like 'hey what are you doing' 'I am so going to the wedding' and its better to have in the winter you look great with a nice tan. I would get married 1st then go on your honey moon something sunny. then have the reception. it makes AMAZING pic's and you can dress up two times.

no it's your wedding and you should be able to choose whether or not you have your wedding in Dec. Don't let someone stupid tell you that there is something wrong with what you want. It's you wedding so do whatever you want because this is a 1 time thing.

I'm getting married Dec. 9/06. I love Christmas so I'm using that as my theme. I also have a red fur cape rented for myself and my bridesmaids and flowergirl(s) have fur wraps. At that time of the year here, it will probably be about -5 to -10 degrees cel. Good luck and congrats!!
