Given the ongoing Priest related pedophile and ephebephile problems, manifestly yes. The actual question is can you be a practicing Gay and be a Good Catholic? To that one, absolutely not, both the Old and New Testaments, as well as Church Law, forbid both non-procreational and extra-marital sex.

Yes you can. You CAN'T be a true Christian and be a practicing Gay but yes, you can be a active Catholic as history and the present shows clearly. True Christianity and Catholic, yes indeed, there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between the two. Heck, the gap is probably bigger than the Grand Canyon itself.
Oh and for asilman27's comment about not knowing about Lesbians, yes, Lesbianism IS condemmed in the Bible equally as homosexuality between two or more men. The Bible calls what they do disgraceful, contrary to nature, obscene and error (Romans 1:24-28).
Not to worry, in the end, God will handle all things, so if there are individuals who wish to keep thinking that living a Gay lifestyle is approved and or okay by Jehovah God the Creator of Heaven and Earth, Author of the Holy Bible and Father of our Lord Jesus, so be it.
God does NOT hate them, but rather he hates what they do and will readily forgive and accept those whom sincerely repent of their ways and come to Him in truth through His Son Jesus Christ.
Some Gay people say that they were born gay but this is NO excuse with the Almighty for EVERYONE is born with sin which means to miss the perfect mark of God and fall short of his requirements.
Some people are born with disabilities due to sin, some because of drug addictive parents are born addicts themselves and so on.
The thing is to recognize the sinfulness of such practices, see things the way God does and view them as He views them, develop a genuine LOVE for Jehovah God and His truth, ask God for forgiveness in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, repent and try hard to not do the things which you know are out of harmony with God's will.
Not everyone is willing to do this as the majority of people are only concerned about how THEY feel and not really so much as how the God of the Bible feels, and so, they sort of make up a god of their own whom they can worship and make them feel good about the things they do.
All fine and dandy, its only when they try and say THE GOD OF THE BIBLE has no problem with what they do... because it couldn't be further from the truth. Hope this helped. :)

I don't see why not. I had a friend that was a lesbian, and she was a practicing Catholic, and they treated her just like everybody else in the church, like a person. That church was the only Catholic church I've ever visited that I liked.

That is a large question. If you engage in idolatry, and put the Bible on the level of God, then no. If you accept that the Bible is a record of history with moral lessons in it but not in itself Divine, then yes, though yo may run afoul of dogma. If the priest puts dogma or the Bible on the same level as God, then he is engaged in idolatry as well, and idolatry is a sin.
No simple answers. That's why God and religion really have little to do with each other.

No. At least not in truth. A person can CALL themself anything but no-- it is against the Commandments and if a priest actually knows this they are not to give the person Communion.

I don't know about lesbians, But the Bible clearly states that it is a mortal sin for a man to lay with another man as he would a woman.

If the Catholics give you a lot of hassle - try the Jews. They are very understanding.

Not in good standing with the Church and you are not supposed to receive communion. The same with any mortal sin.
