What's 'corny ale'? or Corn-ripe ale? It is beer or champagne? does it have alcohol? does it make you drunk?

Ale is just a fancy way of saying that it is a dark, expensive beer. And being a corn ale, it is made from fermented corn, and yes it does have alcohol in it, which also means that if you drink enough you WILL get drunk.
