Girls, you know what I'm talking about. All our friends have put themselves out there and found the perfect guy, and we feel pressured to do so also. So we go out with someone just to be in a relationship. Is this ok, or this is pointless like I think it is?

I agree, it's pointless to try for a relationship just to have one. Don't get me wrong; if an awesome guy suddenly drops into my lap, I'm not going to toss him off. I have little enough time to work and have fun. Why waste time actively looking for someone? I believe the right one will show up on the path you make for yourself.

I'ts pointless. Just do what i do...give up. I've been hurt so many times that one more would kill me so I stopped dating. Now I'm alone, I do what I want. I get to eat in bed, smoke in the house and when I go out, I can sit at the bar and no one bothers me with a joke or conversation all the time I'm there...it's great. (cry)

Pointless, definitely. You shouldn't date just to keep up with your friends. If you genuinely want to be in a relationship, that's something else.

It is pointless due to the fact that you are miserable with, most of the time, the person you found.

I don't think it's okay. I've began something similar and it just feels all wrong that I get naseous. I'd rather be the single girl... (which isn't so bad because I wouldn't date any of the men my girlfriends are with anyway..!)

Yeah, it's pretty much pointless like you think it is.

why follow the leader. Do what is comfortable for yourself. If you don't want a boyfriend, tell your friends that that is not what you want to do right now with your life

Guys do the same thing because we don't want to be single. It isn't just a girl problem
