For my class i need to write an essay in a specific format, and i konw it isn't MLA. I know that the format i am thinking of starts with and A, but that's about it. Does anyone know of a format like that? If so, where can i find the rules for said format? I don't know what it looks like or anything. Thanks for the help. =)

AP (Associated Press) writing style. This is an "inverted pyramid" style -- like a news article -- where you state the main point, and then go on to elaborate. Keep to the facts, begin simply and then give supporting information.

There's some pretty good internet resources out there. I like to peruse the King County (Wa) site: http://www.metrokc.gov/exec/styleguide/background.htm
