I have this huge zit that sprung up like an hour ago. I need something to make it leave...fast! I've been putting clearasil on it every ten minutes, but I haven't noticed any change. HELP!!

Visine on a cotton ball. This will take some of the redness away if you hold it there for a while. Try putting toothpaste on it overnight. This tends to shrink them down some. Good Luck

This site is maintained by an acne sufferer.
As a teen and even into my twenties I had acne problems. I used something that is no longer sold, it was found to cause cancer.
What you have is a pore that has been clogged and has become irritated, or even infected. For a quick remedy, I suggest rubbing alcohol, which will sting some, but is a cleanser of oil and wax, which plug up pores, and a disinfectant. Don't get it in your eye or mouth, use a q-tip, gently.
Be careful with makeup, as it can clog pores. Remove all completely each night and let skin breathe. A medicated creme like Noxema may help.
Physician's Formula makeup, widely available, is made to conceal imperfections, specificly, and comes in a wide selection of skin tones.
Consider trying Proactive, to minimize the possiblity of acne occurance. Prevention beats a cure!!
Don't smoke, it is awful for skin, with many toxins, and less oxygen in the blood.
Get enough sleep.
If under too much stress, the skin will show it, in rashes and wrinkles, and acne. Get counselling if you are tense, and meditate.
A multivitamin is a neccessity, taken WITH a balanced meal, preferably breakfast.
Many don't know this, but there are two different types of bacteria that you MUST have to digest food properly, and things like antibiotics or stress kill them.
These are acidophilus lactobacillus, which helps to digest lactose, the sugar that many have trouble with, and bifidus, for lower bowel digestion. Not having these leads to acid reflux, gas, and an upset stomach.
Drinking alcohol (bad for skin) kills them, too. A supplement with them both is inexpensive, and helps you get all the nutrition from your food. Keep at room temp.
The skin is the largest organ of your body, and your first defense against germs, manufactures vitamins,
and determines your appearance.
Everything that you do helps it's health, or hurts it.
I hope that this helps you!

Simple and cheap: go to the drugstore and ask for a styptic pencil. Men use it on nicks on their faces from shaving. The chemicals in it constrict the blood vessels when they come in contact with wet skin, and helps draw the wound together to stop bleeding very quickly. Works the same with pimples. Wet the tip of the styptic pencil, rub it over the pimple, let it dry, and go to bed. By morning it should have drawn the pimple to the surface or perhaps have dried it up completely.

Heat up a damp towel in the microwave, not too hot, and hold it to the zit for ten minutes . . . try to push down(not sqweeze) on the sides with q-tips GENTLY . . . contents should come out . . . if not repeat . . . if still nothing, wait till morning then try again.

Ice will help the swelling and visine will help take the red out, but don't sweat it - if someone doesn't like you because a zit came up - you didn't need them or their opinions anyway

Please stop messing with it. That only makes them worse. It gonna be red and irritated. If by tommorow its still red you can actually use Visine to take the redness out . I guess it works the same for skin as it does for eyes. Good Luck. I have tried the toothpaste also it has helped decrease size of it.

you could

a) run to the nearest drug store and buy something to get rid of it

b) pop the pimple (not recommended)

c) put a tiny tiny bandaid on it and say you have a scratch or something...

i don't know if toothpaste helps, but i read somewhere in yahoo answers that it does... so you could try that, too.
