My boyfriend and I were suppose to move into together and had already signed the lease and everything. Then we had a fight and he broke up with me. Understandably I'm angry with him and when I went to get my things at his house, he told me he hoped I wouldn't be angry with him for too long. As I went to get into my car and refused his hug he toldme he loved me and waited for a response. What was he thinking?!

I'm not sure of what he's thinking, but maybe he was waiting for you to say I love you back. Men are strange creatures, nobody knows what they think, only they do. Then they change their minds later. I'm not sure what your fighting for but it has to be pretty serious in order for him to break up with you. Try talking with him, is he worth fighting for?

well i can't tell you the main reason he told u that after he broke up with you,but who ever i can tell you that i've come to find out that men tend to realize that they are starting to care for someone and once they realize that then they call it off but when ever they find there selfs not with you then they have nothing to be scared of b/c they ain't in the relationship anymore so they are free to say whatever they feel and not be scared about what u might say or do. more less it's a guy thing. we might never know why guys do things they do lol i hope i helped u in every way possible good luck

I agree, he doesn't want you to hate him. I think a lot of guys try to soften the blow when they say "I love you" after they break up or do something hurtful. It is ridiculous because it toys with your emotions and makes you second guess their intentions, run and don't look back!

He wants his cake and eat it too...he's trying to save face and be the "nice" guy because he hurt your feelings. Your legal right is to get your belongings if they are still in the apt. If you have any problems, tell your land lord, and then get the police involved.
BTW--do NOT go back to him.

Your ex-boyfriend does not understand what love is. He is experiancing feelings of seperation and is adjusting to you not being around. His response to that is to reason with himself that his feelings are love for you and didn't think that it might just be the feeling of seperation.
