It's great. More secure than IE, and cool features.....sure, the bookmarks part can take some getting used to, but you can have tabs for different websites open instead of having 3 pages you have to click through.

We just recently bought a new laptop. It came with IE, which was also the only software I was familiar with. We bought our computer at Best Buy. The IE on our computer wasn't working correctly, and after the Geek Squad spent hours trying to fix it; they recommended FireFox. He said that it was actually a much better program anyway. We have both programs on our computer. I don't believe that it should hurt anything to download it. I can't say however if it is easily downloaded from their site, as ours was installed at Best Buy.

Firefox was fine for me, except, It isn't recognized by all sites on the web and doesn't work as well as IE because IE is the most commonly used and recognized web browser and all web-sites are programmed for it and not Firefox or any other web browser like Opera, etc.

IE sux the big one! Just because IE is made by Microsoft doesn't mean everyone has to use it.

I've been using Firefox for a year now and nothng compares, nothing. The themes, the extensions, the plug-ins are awesome. You can't go wrong.

The answer is YES. Firefox is much better, in my opinion. I practically never used IE after I downloaded Firefox. I'm using Firefox right now!!!

YES
I like using tabs, which is kinda like the programs at the bottom tof your computer screen, but on Firefox.
You can also choose browser themes for decoration.
