My Son, when you here about someones child being killed or abducted, it reminds you what you have got. I would give my life without hesitation, so he rouses the most emotion from me.

I'm from India, and you're probably aware that in India there's this huge antagonism between the two communities, Hindu and Muslim. FYI I'm neither.
I often see young school and college girls (one visibly Hindu, the other visibly Muslim) parting for the day with a hug (and sometimes a kiss), and it never fails to move me.
No, I don't burst into tears, but I always say to myself, why can't we let these youngsters grow up to love each other naturally the way they do, instead of maliciously poisoning their ears one against the other?
Wish we could have more of such scenes. That would bring about a real awakening and transformation of Indian society, which is unnecessarily riddled with hatred.
I don't know if I've answered your real question, and it has no connection with singles or dating, but this is what I feel strongly about.

Watching cheesy television shows where people are re-united with long lost family members for example or reading stories in magazines about terminally ill children. I remember reading one story about a young girl who died of cancer just after her 18th birthday. It really struck a cord with me because of all the things she's going to miss and that she knew she was going to miss.

stupid people....not you but stupid people in general, I am not talking about mentally handicapped people, but normal everyday citizens that don't have enough common sense to pour piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the bottom. people who just do not have a clue about anything. we all know people like this, we have dated someone like this a few times, or we are related to them. the said thing is these people continue to procreate. scary
