That is a terribly unhealthy diet to be on and unfortunately, it will probably backfire on you by slowing down your metabolism.
You should maintain a minimum of 1200 calories, spaced out throughout the day in about 6 mini-meals of 200-300 calories each. Any less than this and your body will go into starvation mode and will hang onto every calorie you consume and store it, thinking that there is a food shortage. You actually have to eat to lose weight, so that your body will think that there is plenty and will therefore allow you to burn more calories. Seems a bit convoluted, but that's how it works. That along with about 30-60 minutes of cardio 6x per week and strength training 3x per week should be all you need to lose the weight.

This is so weird, we have basically the same exact info! I am exactly 5'4 and weigh 135lbs and want to weigh 110lbs by Christmas! From what I have calculated and researched it is really bad to skip meals. Yoy want your metabolism to be as rapid as possible so don't skip meals. In fact, have you heard about the 3 hour diet? It is a book and the main of point of their philosophy is to eat every 3 hours. Also 500 calories is very little bit. Why not burn more and eat more? I am limiting myself to 900 calories, but am trying to burn 500 calories each day. Then I get a day off. Are you allowing yourself a day off? Let me know how its going for you!! I think its crazy we are trying to do the same thing with the same stats. Best of luck!

No. Absolutely not. You need to eat three nutritious meals every day. Just watch your labels - buy fat free, or low fat, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and drink lots of water. What you are doing sounds dangerous to me. Another thing that is good is green or white tea. They have lots of antioxidents in them and no calories. I don't eat much meat at all, I eat fish and lean chicken. But I eat three meals a day, and if I feel hungry in between, I eat a piece of fruit or some celery or carrots. You have to eat. Your whole body will suffer if you do not eat properly. I take One A Day Vitamin's, one for eight control and one for blood pressure control. You can buy them over the counter in the Vitamin section in any store. You should never skip breakfast. That is the most important meal of the day. Have your main meal at lunch time, and something light for your evening meal, like a nice salad and some fruit. We never eat anything after supper, just drink water or tea. So please, be careful, and start to eat three meals every day. There is a lot of good food to eat that is low in calories and low fat or no fat. Just read the labels.

You'll crash and burn within two weeks of being on this diet. First, you'll run out of energy and not be able to work out to your full potential. Then, your body will think it's starving and it will actually start hoarding every calorie you take in, trying to save itself!
See the link below for information about the diet plan Gwyneth Paltrow used to lose her baby weight. I tried it out after I had been living in Italy and gaining weight from all the pizza and pasta. In ten weeks I went from 150 -> 120 pounds, saw a MAJOR energy boost and my friends said that my mood really improved. You have to stick to the plan really well (no cheating) but I guarantee you'll lose lots of weight AND feel super-good.

Nope, thats a horrible diet and you will only make yourself fatter in the long run.
By starving yourself (which is what you are doing at 500 cals per day) you are causing your body to go into starvation mode. Starvation mode is when your body stores fat and burns muscle. So you will look at the scale and it will in fact show a reduction in weight, but the weight will be muscle instead of fat.
So at the end of the day, you become fatter and the muscle (which burns fat) is being reduced every day you stay on this terrible diet.
Please learn the correct amount of calories you should be eating. I have an online calculator you can use for free, just check out my sig.

not really, u need to eat to keep your metabolism going, so breakfast is very important, try having many small servings of food throughout the day to keep you going, otherwise eventually you'll get tired of not eating anything or lose a few lbs and say "well i lost some weight i guess i can stuff my face today" these kind of up and down eating habits can be very harmful, keep drinking water and keep excercising, and remember treat yourself to something sweet once in awhile, or anything else you normally like to eat, just in moderation, remember dont skip meals you need those calories to provide you with energy, and also lots of fruits and vegies, and dont cut out all your carbs, they can provide you with a ton of energy, just dont overstuff yourself keep eating healthy and excercising you'll lose weight AND be healthy :)

no i don't think that this is good diet you need to eat breakfast everyday to give you that energy boost, your body needs food to give it fuel, if you don't eat your body will store what fat it has and hold on to it as long as it can so it has something to burn, drinking water and exercising is great but put some fuel in there ok even if it's just a bit of fruit ok.

I don't think any physician will agree that's a good diet, babies have more calories than you are allowing yourself.Trust me I have done this, chances are you will loose the weight but you will be to weak to do whatever you have planned for January.

no it is not to lose weght you need to take the weight you to be and multiply it by fifteen and that is how many calories you need a day
like 110 would be 110x15 = 1650 calories per day
