If it showed up after you had your braces for a while, it is almost definitely decalcification. This is actually the early stage of cavity formation, so brush BETTER than you have been and be MORE CAREFUL about your sugar intake. When you get your braces off, you will probably just need a small filling to get rid of the cavity and solve the white spot problem at the same time.
If it was there BEFORE you had your braces, it may be hypocalcification. There are many reasons for this occurring, but your tooth didn't develop correctly in the white spots. Sometimes they are very superficial and can simply be polished off. If they don't polish off, then you have just completed the first step towards getting some bonding material put over them to mask them out. That's easy to do and relatively cheap. If they are just little spots, like a millimeter or so, it would be in the $100 ballpark.

i have a few decalcification spots on my front teeth, but they are not that noticable. I forget what actually causes it. Go search it. Anyways, if you have the money you should look into getting veneers if you hate it that much. Veneers are what the celebrities have. It can fix diastemas (gaps), decalcification, etc to make teeth look better. Since your teeth are going to be straight, it would be an easy case for dentists and dental technicians to do/make. Or go to a dental school. they usually charge less. Also if you need the hook up for veneers, I got it, but u need to find your own dentist which are costly!

To remove you have to go to a dentist who will give you a scrape and polish under a local anaesthetic.
Some people are more susceptible to it than others, but to prevent brush your teeth after every meal and use a mouth wash.
If you leave it it will eventually cause the gum disease gingivitis

White patches are something that are within the teeth themselves and can be caused before you were born. Don't try anything without your dentist's advice. You could damage your teeth and gums. Show a great smile and no one but you will notice.

This may sound corny but try whightening strips for about a month and apply 1 every other day. Your teeth get accoustumed to it.

There really isn't much you can do. Your braces will probably cause more of them. Just take good care of your teeth, and they may go away on their own. Mine did, but not everyone's does.

ok before i start my answer i just want to say that the first answer is completely stupid so dont do it. keep your teeth cleaner and brighter............now my answer is to use a teeth whitener and get them whiter and either make the white patches almost invisible or make them just plane disapear.
