Yes it does work if you are prepared to put the effort in.
I lost 4 stone with ww and my dr even said it was one of the best diets out there as ww is just based on a calorie controlled diet but they do all the calculating for you so you are just left to follow the points system and it does honestly work! You can eat anything you want as long as you stick to your points allowance ie, are you going to have a mars bar for 6 points or have a whole meal for six points etc.
But please bear in mind that if you are not obese but just need to lose a few pounds, it will take slightly longer for the weight to drop as i was very big and lost 9lbs in the first week of doing ww.

It can for some people but not all. Before you spend all that money - and joining can cost a few quid - find out how much a local gym membership is, working out how much it would cost per week.
You could find more benefit from going to the gym a couple of times a week, doing a varied amount of activities, and that costs a similar amount to going to a WW class once a week. But only you can decide.

I went and I did lose a bit of weight, and the diet plan is good. The only thing was, as a busy mam of four, who's hubby works away, I found I missed classes, if you miss you still pay the 4.50, so if not committed it can be expensive for nothing! I since been eating high protein and low carb, cut out fat and drank plenty of water, lost 25lb since June!

Yes. However like any diet that works it requires discipline. The points system is a useful guide for calorie control and the group meeting idea is supportive-keeps you motivated.
