You CAN do it, but it's not the best thing for you. Try not taking the xanax because it has more serious interactions with alcohol than the paxil. Drink in moderation and stay off the xanax while consuming any alcohol. Good luck and be careful.

Yes, I've done it many times & survived. Be careful--xanax affects the same area of the brain in the same way as alcohol.
I always laugh when I read the "caution, alcohol may instenify the effects of this medicaiton"--Is that a warning or a suggestion ;)

It's an iffy one. They say if you're on antidepressants alcohol intensifies it's affect but I dont think it does. If you want to drink I just dont take the antidepressent that day. I think xanax is is more serious so i would not take that for a day or two before you drink.

No, because in order to get drunk you would skip a dose of medication so you're not mixing them, and so you're basically off your medication. Or the alcohol would possibly flush the medication out of your system anyway. It would take two or three days to recover from all of that and try to get stabilized again.

I would not recomend it! Because the alcohol will affect the meds
you are on.In most cases it could be a deadly combonation!
