catholics will tend to reply like this:

"it happens in other places and organizations, so it doesn't affect my giving to the church."

you see...when you confront them with info like this, they retreat to that common, hypocritical position: "we're just like everyone else" and "they are no better than we are..."

but, ALL THE REST OF THE TIME, while they are trying to force and impose their beliefs upon society, they're all about how their values are superior to other values, and how people should follow christ, and be mose like christ, and have their beliefs and values, because they are better.

until their bad behavior is pointed out, then it's "hey, they do bad stuff, too!!"

complete and utter nonsense and hypocricy. catholics/christians are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. what's worse is their overseas missionaries that abuse children by the thousands. it's sickening.

I'm not Catholic, so I know my church contributions are helping others in need. My church supports missionaries in at least 12 nations. It also provides educational and recreational programs for inner city youth. I give as much as I can each week.

Not at all. We are not called to give because everybody is perfect, we are called to give because we know we are sinners. The little widow women who gave her last few pennies was not rideculed by Jesus for giving to an organization he well knew was wrong but she was rewarded by him telling the world for generations of her loyalty. Now, this in no way is saying that the Catholic Church is wrong. Some priests have committed sins--the same percentage of sinners in every walk of life. Why are you so hateful to Catholics?

It doesn't because I know that pedophiles flock to all possitions where they have access to children so the Catholic Church is not unique.

Doesn't affect me because I don't give them my money, but I don't think it should affect Catholics because that money is going to good people that were victims.
