i like this girl in my english class. i talk to her once in a while but wen i asked her if she liked me she said NO !!! but the problem is that now she looks at me with a smile on her face. like for example i was talking 2 my friend b4 class and i was standing by the door and she was looking right at me smiling. like one time i gave her a note and told her 2 stop calling me chi chi, because i dont like it. anyways i saw her walking in the hallway and instead of saying HI chi chi she called me by my first name and wen she said it she had a smile on her face. then the other day she asked me if i can lend her a pencil. then after class she was about to give it back but she was about to call me chi chi then she smiled and called me by my 1st name. one time i was talkin 2 my friend and she came outta no where and asked why i was in her but she had a smile, and one time i gave her a lil tap and she hit back. i don't what is happening does she like me or she doesnt or is playing with me idk

baby, girls ARE confusing, i can tell you that
girls dont mean to lead you on sometimes, it just happens
but maybe she does like you, shes just worried because she doesnt know what YOU think of her.
she probably said no because maybe she doenst really know for herself.
when you ask a girl strait out if you like them, its not going to be a yes unless she knows for sure that you like HER.
she was probably worried that if she said yes, it might scare you away if you didnt feel the same.
ask her to a dance [= homecoming if it hasnt passed yet
but first make sure she isnt going w/someone else because then you might feel like an idiot
ask her out to a movie over the weekend or something
just do something sweet for her:
hold open doors, say hi to her when you walk by, always smile back and act happy to see her, give her friendly hugs-SMALL THINGS like that
this may sound reeally scary but shes probably not going to have the guts to do this either: tell her how you feel.
tell her that you think she is an amazing person and that you want to be more than friends.
shes probably going to either break out in a huge smile and turn pink, or turn pink w/a small smile.
if its the first one-shell giggle and [act] suprised and if its the first one your in. if its quiet and awkward, just look strait into her eyes [let me repeat that: LOOK STRAIT INTO HER EYES] and ask her will you go out with me? your most likely in though [;
if its the second one however, see what she says next, and im sorry if its not what you were expecting.
if it doenst work out, dont let your friendship slide
do your best to not let it be awkward, and accept that may be all youll be for a while
but if shes acting like that around you, i bet she likes you<3

She may just be teasing you because she knows you like her - y'know, playing with you but not meaning anything by it. But she may be thinking about what you said and considering the possibilities - maybe she likes another guy, but she likes you, too.
If I were you, I would pretend to show interest in another girl in front of her. Make a comment and observe her reaction (but don't be obvious) - if it's negative, she's probably into you at least a bit, although she may not be sure of it yet: feel free to make a move again.

i dont knwo man...the situation seems weird..but i been threw the same thing. i have realised that some girls are always looking for attention. maybe you should play hard to get. ignore her, dont smile back, dont even talk to her. just try it for 2-3 days. then outta no where write her another note, but dont ask her if she likes you cause that might give her pressure. maybe she kind of likes you but she is confused and she wants to get to know you better.

Ask her if she likes you see what the heck's going on.
Don't go with the "obvious" signals, because it usually turns out that they just are friendly things.
Don't look too much into it...talk to her about it openly and soon.

I would say that she likes you but she wants you to ask her out so if you like her back then go for it
