CD:
-Types: CD-R,CD-RW,CD-ROM ( i think there is a few more but i forgot what they were)

Most comonly used on computers before Windows XP. Music, VCD (video CD)store programs upto 700 MB.

If you burn using a DVD-R or CD-R it can NOT be burned again or data can not be erased, unless its a multisession disk more files can be added but not removed. If you burn using a DVD-RW or CD-RW file can be added and removed.

CD-ROM = Compact Disk Read Only Memory
CD = Compact Disk

DVD-R= Digital Versitile Disk Writeable
