... I dont think thats normal...
I think thats scary!!!
I hope my daughter comes out 6 pounds... I was 6 pounds when I was born... even 7 sounds a lil' scary to me.. especially since I am 5 foot tall and was 105 pre pregnancy! My OB told me though at my last appointment that my baby will probably be about 6 pounds when shes born.

Who is to say what is normal, my son was 8 15, he is perfectly normal. Cute as could be when he was born and very smart now. He is also a big 7 year old now, he wears a size 51/2 shoe. He is still very normal, just big and healthy, he's tall and thin and very handsome. I don't know if this is true or not but for those who said they were scared of a big baby, I've actually heard that big babies help push themselves out and make it easier on the moms. Either way I think it hurts like hell because my other son was barely 7 pounds and it hurt just as bad, and he too by the way has turned out to be a big boy for his age.

The normal weight for a 40 week deliverey is about 7lbs and over 9lbs is large, usually due to gestational diabeteies. Some women though just have larger babies My first baby was 7.5lbs then I had a whopping 11lbs'erso when the next baby came along at 8lbs10oz that was my average one. I am also I small women I don't know how they fit.

I think between six and eight is normal, ten is wwwaaayyyy big. My sil had a baby who was almost ten pounds, but she is one big lady herself. My babies were 7 pounds at 38 weeks and 6 pounds at 37 weeks. Had I gone to term they both most likely would have been 8 pound babies since they gain half a pound a week in the last trimester. Also if a mom goes past her due date that can have a better than average size baby. I agree with you that gorilla babies are cute, but trust me when/if you ever have a baby of your own you will think it's the cutest thing you've ever laid eyes on. I never thought babies were cute until I had mine.

I would call a 10lb baby unusual, or just larger, but not abnormal. The average newborn weight is 7-8 lbs.
I also don't share your opinion that a baby gorilla is cuter than a human baby.

at the instant, there is greater information with regard to the do's and don't throughout being pregnant, weight loss application, no smoking and so on. for this reason the common start weight has larger over the final 20 years. I genuinely have had 4 infants elderly between 18 and 2yr previous, all weighing between 9lb 9oz and 8lb i could want to think of my infants the place much greater lovable than a splash one gorilla, whether they did injury me greater! properly pronounced ladyzen!

Hey, I was 10lbs when I was born! (and just so you know I am not fat now!) 6lbs is small but I think 7-8lbs is normal. But who really cares, just as long as your baby is healthy.

My girls weighed 8lbs 7oz. and 9lbs 8 oz. both were perfectly normal weights.......technically 7lb babies are the average.....6lbs tends to be on the small side...but still a normal and healthy weight. normal isnt as important as healthy when it comes to babies.
