yes i was painfully shy....i was about 16 and had liked this lad for ages, took me ages to pluck up the courage to even say hi to hm let alone accept a date...he was pretty popular wit the girlies and had a eputation of being a player, thats what attracted me to him, dont ask why, but at that time i was in awe...and very vulnerable and i thought i'd stand NO chance of getting with him, he worked over the road from me and sometimes i caught him looking at me when i passed his shop...anyway he asked me out for a date, i was exstatic and accepted straight away, i was very nervous on the night of the date and even cried because my nerves were all over the place...i couldnt believe he'd asked me out...he took me to the cinema, when we got there he bought us the usual...popcorn..hotdogs etc, he was really nice...opening doors for me, lending me his jacket because i was cold...i THOUGHT he was the perfect lad... then the movie began, it was the worst movie i had ever seen...some of you may have seen it...it was called SCUM....he found it highly amusing and was laughing at a gang rape in the jail, also people getting battered up with snooker balls...it disgusted me, i was so shocked, he thought it was hilarious so i left, he came after me and shouted at me for being selfish and ungrateful and grabbed me by my arm and pushed me into a wall...so this gorgeous guy i liked was really an ugly person on the inside, he really scared me...then he left me in the middle of the city with no money, no jacket, the city was full of druggies and beggars and i was very scared, so i called my dad to come get me, i was in tears, good thing was, he had my big bro to deal with the next day, i left my job and got another one a few miles away, this lad had hate in his eyes that night and i thought he was going to hit me, gien the chance he would have...last i heard of him, he was spending time in jail for a violent assault on a pensioner leaving her injured really bad, he's doing 5 years now...this date was like in the 80's....glad i never stuck with him...i could have easily been one of his victims...plus he looks like an old man now, and i wouldnt give him a second glance, he's on all kinds of drugs even though he is in his 40's...i just pity him now, and i would advise anyone who met him NOT to date him, he's nasty

I met him online...never again.
He was an art lover and that sparked my interest. We had one conversation, made plans for the following Saturday and did not exchange pictures.
I had to pick him up. He had no car. He said he lived in Gardena, but it was Compton. Why lie about where you live, when you are staying with friends, because otherwise you would be homeless????
He noticed my scented sachet in my car and asked if he could have it.
We get to the Getty art museum, and there is an outdoor tour. He is talking over the docent.
While looking at Van Gogh's "Irises," he tells me how special that painting is to him. See, he and the artist both have bipolar disorder. Unlike the artist, his BPD is due to excessive drug use in law school.
After, we go to Sunset for dinner, his suggestion. He brought $10. That didn't cover my wine.
I couldn't wait to drop him off at the train station and head home.
He sent me an email the next day, stating how much he enjoyed our date and how he knew I felt the same.
HA HA!
I said, Dude, you have way too many issues for me to see you again.
His response: "After several years of intense psychotherapy and a clean bill of health from 3 psychiatrists and 2 psychologists, what makes you think you are qualified to tell me that I have issues?"
Did I mention that he was 5'6" and 300 pounds? My car squeaked for a year after he was in it.
As ee said, that dog don't hunt, in my book.

We met in a club, then arranged to meet up a week later for dinner. We met up at 5:30, could think of nothing to tlk about (anything I asked him, he just answered yes or no, or didn't care) and I was home by 8pm. Disasterous...also, I got there and he'd got two empty glasses on the table, and all evening he had doubles, so he got quite drunk. Didn't see him again.

Both of my longest relationships began with bad or uncomfortable first dates. If you can survive them, your friendship and relationship already have a touchstone, and you know that the other person has a sense of humour.

I thought it was a date. But it turned out she was running away from home. What happened ? I took her to her grandma´s house and left in a hurry. She was really mad at me.

My date showed up BARE FOOT!! We were going to dinner in a pretty nice place with another couple, and he said his shoes were in terrible shape so he didn't wear any. I was completely embarrassed!! We did go, and had HIM sit inside in the booth so they wouldn't see. That one didn't last very long!

So it was my cousin, her boyfriend, his borhter(Anthony) and me went to pizza hut and it was so damn lame. We was blushing the whole time but we never really talked and I looked so cute that night. But it didnt work out and theres much much to add to that, but I dont wanna go there.
