as quickly as I have been given mine peirced i presumed it became going to harm even with the undeniable fact that it does not if the peircer is conscious what they're doing you mustn't actually be able to sense it they're going to count extensive style to 3 and which would be it. it has no longer something to do wit your age, it has to do wit how properly you preserve that style of stuff yet whilst it hurts in any respect it is going to purely be for a 2d. the swelling relies upon on the guy mine did no longer swell in any respect i became nonetheless in a position to speak and pass to artwork the following day and no one observed yet prepare incase it does swell consume a good style of ice chips, chilly beverages and the undertaking that sucked for me the main became i could no longer consume for type of three - 4 days, your tounge would be sore no rely if it swells or no longer however the ice will help and getting use to the barbell will take a on an identical time as yet i do no longer even be conscious its there anymore.

At the time...........no, because it was frozen with a freeaing/numbing spray. During this time you feel a lot of pressure, but it's done pretty quickly.
A couple of days afterwards, you may find it a bit difficult to speak properly though, and yes, there is a bit of pain but I wouldn't say it's anything that dreadful.
I suppose it all depends on your pain barrier too !

i eat a lot of peppery foods and so thought having my tongue pierced could be a troublesome one. but it was no trouble at all. the shop used Lignocaine on the tongue to numb the area. you could get this in the shops and take it with you in case your shop doesnt use this. all you then feel is a tug and that's it.

after the anaesthetic wears off, you feel like something's happened to your tongue but no major drama. i was able to eat straightaway. i thought itd be an experience id never forget but i dont even remember it. tattooing my lowerback however, i will never forget. i see people with tatts all over the body and think, the pain cant be that bad if people have such large areas tatted but boy! childbirth was easier! i had to have them stop. years later, i went back again to have it re-done thinking "its all in the mind, ive built up my pain threshold.. bla bla bla"..naah!!! still had to have em stop.... AGAIN! pathetic!

tongue piercing - piece of cake!!
lowerback tattooing - murderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

hi there, well my sister got her tongue pierced, and i went with her. it looked really akward the way they did it but she said she couldnt feel a thing. i would think that if you went to a trusting body pierce shop then it wouldnt be a problem. if your really scared just ask for more anethsetic. dont be scared cos not feeling your tongue for a few more hours is worth it.
becareful though, tongue piercings only suit certain people. my sister said her lisp has gotten worse, noone noticed it before but since she had her tongue done people have started to realise, someone else i know who had it pierced had to talk hers out becasue she couldnt learn to deal with the fact she had something constantly in her mouth.
also maksure you dont have to speak for a few days ie no lectures or speaches, i made fun of my sister because she couldnt speak properly for days was so funny. she even got spaghetti hoops stuck round it!
good luck if you decide to get one!

I had mine done two years ago and I found it hurt lil a tiny litle prick but it was over so fast I totally forgot about it. It depends on your body and piercist though really. Lotsa people have sore tongues for days and it swells really bad but mine didn't swell at all... Guess I'm lucky.
I'd say go for it... I put mine off for ages coz I was scared and then I loved it!

Well if you decided to get your tongue pierced, the pain would not be an issue, you will put yourself at high risk to brain damage and you will have a harder time obtaining a job due to first impression.

if you are piercing a hole in your body intentionally, you would always have to expect a little bit of pain. depending on how you deal, the amount of pain that you would feel would differ depending on who was getting pierced.
just remember, think about what you are risking. sure, a stud in your tongue might look cute for a while, but just be sure you won't regret it when you're older, and also, people have damaged nerves in their tongue from careless piercers. are you sure it's worth the risk?

I don't have one, but I saw a girl get it when I got a tattoo once and her head rolled back and I think she fainted for a brief moment...so I'd say yes it hurts...but most piercings do!

Of course it does....c'mon now..think about it, you're sticking a hole through your tongue!! Just like getting a tattoo or anything else...you choose whether or not the pain is a significant enough deterrant to prevent you from having the procedure....In my case, I decided to go ahead and go for it (the tattoo, anyway), but it's a personal decision. If you decide to go ahead and do it, make sure the place you go is clean and has the required licenses.....good luck!!

it wasnt painful at first. but you should after the piercing you should take a tynelol just to help from the swelling and suck on some ice after. but you definitly have to be careful of the person who is doing the procedure.
