In a sense, yes. Religious people do depend on each other to bolster each other's belief. This is because arguments for the existence of God are generally emotional arguments in nature. They have no real evidence. Therefore, they depend on each other to reinforce those emotional attachments, and depend on their religious leaders to keep feeding them proganda.

depends on how devout you are. i myself feel that religion is a guidline for lost souls. i also feel that yes we can exist without "god".
